The Balance of Interaction and Privacy
The interwoven materiality of wired glass and opaque planes affords the flexibility in offering the much-needed social and private settings for a three-generation family. Various levels of visual transparency allow every family member to be aware of others while preserving individual privacy and ensuring the necessary care for the young. A construct of multi-valency materiality harmonizes a cerebral interior bridging across the different generations.
共融與獨立的平衡
如何能滿足三代同堂不同的生活需求，規劃出能兼顧共享與獨享的空間，是設計團隊接下此案時最重要的任務。因而，公共場域的設計都秉持著「連結」的概念訴求，例如書房與客廳的穿透性、或者廚房與餐桌的整合等，而個人空間的設計也反映在色彩配置上，孩童房採用明亮純真的白，主臥使用淺彩，長輩房則選用靜謐沉穩的色調。
半透明的夾絲玻璃與不通透的平面材質交錯，提供三代同堂共享與獨處的靈活性。安排不同程度的視覺穿透感，相互感知彼此的存在，同時保留個人空間。書房與客廳之間的視覺上屏蔽，也讓幼兒隨時可以被照看。運用多元材料營造和諧沈穩的空間，隱喻著不同年代也能創造融洽關係。
